The firm was established as Wheeler and Klusza Real Estate Appraisers in 1971, and was succeeded by Wheeler Appraisals (and Klusza and Associates), in 1986.
We operate as Wheeler Appraisals, LLC for commercial, industrial, and land real estate appraisals, and Bill Wheeler Appraisals, LLC for single family residential real estate appraisals. (Each firm has common origins but is separately owned and operated as of 2009). Principals have direct involvement in all real estate appraisal assignments; there is no use of sub-contractors or trainees. We subscribe to multiple data sources including Argus, REIS, Earthplat (statewide coverage in Florida), CoStar (national coverage), multiple MLS services (including most of Florida and multiple counties in western North Carolina and north Georgia), Loopnet (national coverage), PWC Korpacz, Marshall Valuation Service (cost data).
Florida commercial and land real estate appraisal assignments are concentrated in Polk County and interior central Florida including Lake, Marion, Osceola, Pasco, east Hillsborough, Highlands, Hardee and Manatee Counties, with occasional assignments in expanded areas. North Carolina appraisal assignments are concentrated in Clay, Cherokee, Graham, and Macon Counties (Hayesville, Murphy, Franklin, Robbinsville). Georgia assignments are concentrated in Townes and Rabun Counties (Hiawassee, Young Harris, Blairsville, etc.) with work also completed in south Georgia (Valdosta and environs). Residential appraisals by Bill Wheeler Appraisals are in Polk County, Florida.
